CRP-HS II LT Assay is an in vitro diagnostic (IVD) test for the quantitative determination of C-Reactive-Protein (CRP) in serum or plasma.
CRP is a plasma protein, an acute phase protein, produced by the liver and by adipocytes. Its levels rise dramatically during inflammatory processes. The CRP test is used to distinguish acute inflammation from typical infections and also to evaluate inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.
CRP-HS II LT Assay is a high sensitive turbidimetric assay using latex immunoassay method (TIA). The test is applicable to all common automated clinical analyzers.
Reagent 1, Reagent 2 and a calibrator are required for this assay.
All reagents and calibrators are CE-certified according to Directive 98/79/EC on in vitro diagnostic medical devices.
