Market launch of the Beta-Glucan Test by a kinetic turbidimetric monotest method

FUJIFILM Wako’s assay for determining (13)-β-D-glucan in serum or plasma has received CE-mark. The assay is based on LAL (Limulus Amebocyte lysate) cascade reactions measured by a kinetic turbidimetric method. The instrument Toxinometer MT-6500 and related equipment measure the analyte quantitatively in a monotest procedure, allowing for immediate and simple on-site testing by labs at medical centers.
