µTASWako i30
µTASWakoTM i30 – The Instrument
µTASWakoTM i30 (micro Total Analysis System) is Wako’s
proprietary instrument
and the worldwide unique system
for the automated measurement of the markers
AFP-L3% and DCP. It integrates immunoassay steps in
disposable, microfluidic microchips. Single tests can be
performed in only 9 minutes.
Main instrument features:
• Benchtop size 52 cm x 60 cm x 55 cm (w x d x h);
weight 71 kg
• Available analytes: AFP, AFP-L3% and DCP
• Electrophoresis for Liquid-phase Binding Assay (LBA)
• High sensitive fluorescence detection
• Throughput: 25 tests/h
• Assay time: 9 min
µTASWakoTM i30 – Measurement of AFP-L3%
The reaction of AFP isoforms with lectin and immune complexes takes place in liquid phase in channels of microchips. AFP-L3 and AFP-L1 complexes are separated in the same channels by capillary gel electrophoresis due to different migration speeds. As assay precision of less than 3% CV was observed for AFP-L3% measurements from 8,5 to 81%.
